Ray and Hollington adapted a schematic design by Albuquerque architect Antoine Predock for a church whose worship space required the visibility and acoustical conditions of a performance hall. The architects retained the dramatic triangular plan and section of Predock's design while spatially reorganizing the interior and, consequently, the exterior elevations. The new church displaces the congregation's previous church (now its community hall), a pyramid of 1975 surfaced in gold anodized aluminum by Rapp Tackett Fash.
