This is one of the more unusual and distinctive products of the 1920s in San Antonio. Located on a triangular site, the exterior of the building is embellished with motifs loosely borrowed from pre-Columbian architecture, as is the much more flamboyant Aztec Theatre ( SA21). Despite the use of Mexican motifs, the tower comes off looking more like something from ancient Mesopotamia than Mexico with its rather ziggurat-like form. Built to house a local social organization, it has been converted into apartments.
