Surrounded by a wall, the campus buildings are grouped to create courtyard spaces suitable for outdoor student gatherings. The majority of the structures are simply finished with stucco. The use of barrel vaults and tall square lanterns to create interior space also reflects the secular application of religious architectural forms.
