The Magnolia Petroleum Company constructed gas stations in Dallas and other southwestern cities. Clarkson was responsible for at least one other such station in Fort Worth. The stations were designed to fit into the urban fabric by maintaining a consistent street line and by including offices on the second floor. The service bays and pump islands were set within this street facade and did not spatially erode the street corner. A Magnolia building (DS28) in Dallas carries identical second-floor detailing and cornice.
