A Tudor castle may be an appropriate image for Eastland’s high school, sited on high ground overlooking the rolling plains in all directions. The three-story buff brick building has limestone stringcourses at each floor level, Tudor arches at entrances, and crenellated towers protecting the entrance. Castle’s office also designed the adjoining, architecturally compatible junior high school building (1928).
