The Classical Revival Deaf Smith County Courthouse is clad in pink Georgia marble, with wide smooth courses alternating with narrow rock-faced courses. Three stories are capped with a pronounced cornice with a fourth-floor attic above. Two monumental staircases rise to the main level of the portico, which has four columns without capitals supporting a pediment above the attic floor. A large Texas star ornaments the pediment. The aluminum-framed windows with horizontal sashes were installed in 1961.
