The modest buff brick, two-story courthouse has a partially raised basement. The central block projects slightly from the lateral wings and rises above them, and its central entrance bay at the head of a short flight of steps is framed in limestone. The courthouse faces wide Main Street, which leads to the railroad and is lined with one-story false-front commercial buildings.
