The commercial area along West Main Street, known as Mid Town, is one of the more interesting commercial revitalization projects in Richmond. The area has been renovated with the application of Colonial Revival details and an eye-popping color scheme. One of the principal creators of the district was area businessman Edward Eck. Richmond wags have dubbed the project “Eck-a-tecture.”
