Libby Hill Park and Park Keeper's House

The city of Richmond acquired a portion of the site for this park in 1851, but not until 1873, after the acquisition of additional lots on East Franklin Street and Libby Terrace, did it undertake construction, which included the gazebo, the park keeper's house, and most of the present paths and roadways. The completed project is one of the most dramatic urban spaces in Richmond. The recent renovation of the park provided additional paths, seating, and lighting.
