Lyric Theatre

This buff-colored brick Art Deco movie theater is one of the most architecturally sophisticated commercial buildings in downtown. Above the recessed central entrance is an angled marquee with the theater's name spelled out in yellow letters on a purple background. The traditional theatrical masks of Comedy and Tragedy gaze down on passersby from the parapet. The theater has been renovated for use as a community concert hall as well as for movies.
