First Presbyterian Church (Pardeeville Presbyterian Church)

Set on a knoll and surrounded by a lawn and trees, this church is elegant in its Greek Revival simplicity. A large pediment, bearing the 1857 date when the congregation was founded, dominates the symmetrical facade. Corner pilasters, prominent hoods over tall, narrow triple-sash windows, and a paneled door elaborate the facade. A two-stage tower terminates in a tall copper-sheathed wooden spire, which originally was covered with wooden shingles. The church was modeled on the Welsh Congregational Church (demolished) in nearby Cambria. Alterations to the building include a small vestry added to the rear in 1957 and the remodeling of the interior in the 1950s and 1960s.
