Early 19th century. Southwest corner of the intersection of WV 51 (Mountain St.) and Berkeley County 51/2 (Congress St. or Virginia Line Rd.) at the center of Gerrardstown
Two three-bay sections, virtually identical although constructed at different times, make up the main facade of this vernacular two-story clapboarded house. To the side and rear, close to the side street (Congress Street/Virginia Line Road), several interconnected log outbuildings that served the tavern remain.
