Houses

-A A +A
c. 1920s. North side of WV 16 at entrance to Coalwood

This tightly knit group of houses provides the first glimpse of Coalwood when one arrives from Welch. Several double houses, with long sloping roofs extending from the main roofline to cover porches at each end, are among the most prominent. Others are simple, two-story rectangles with large front porches.
