Monroe Street East Historic District
East of Eoff Street, 12th Street (formerly named Monroe Street) climbs the slope of Wheeling Hill. Near its intersection with Byron Street, a cluster of nineteenth-century houses and a church form the small Monroe Street East Historic District.
