Rollinsville (1860, 8,420 feet) was named for John Quincy Adams Rollins, a miner and promoter, who erected the Rollins Steam quartz mill here on South Boulder Creek. Today this ram-shackle crossroads retains a tavern and the ruins of the mill, an ice-house, an assay office, and some modest homes.
