Locally known as “the castle,” the Echo Manor Inn looks more like a homemade, vernacular version of a Charles Platt country manor. Inspired by a trip to Disneyland, the original owner made many additions to what began as a simple A-frame house. Its A-frame origins are commemorated by the steep pitches of the multiple shingled gables and dormers. A uniform stucco finish adds some cohesion, but the multilevel interior is erratic. A subsequent owner converted this Tudoresque fantasy into a bed and breakfast.
