This L-shaped, single-story structure of adobe has a steep-pitched, pyramidal bell tower angled across the northeast corner of the hipped roof. A gabled wing extends north from the west end. A canted gate at the northeast corner of the lot leads through a picket fence, under an arch with the fading inscription “Dios es Amor.” The long-abandoned church and an attached flat-roofed adobe school are falling into ruins amid traces of a garden.
