The town founder built this two-story red brick hotel with bays divided by pilasters, commercial storefronts, and a corbeled brick cornice beneath a paneled brick parapet. Long the town hub, the hotel boasted rooms for fifty guests, a restaurant, a bar, a barbershop, hot baths, and a livery stable.
