Hotchkiss (1882, 5,357 feet) was named for founder Enos T. Hotchkiss, who introduced the first orchard to the area. His house and barn are on the south side of town, which retains several other pioneer structures, including the Bank of North Fork (1903), the Delta County Fairgrounds, and the Hotchkiss Museum, 180 South 2nd Street.
