Epitomizing a City Beautiful scene, this parkway, with its spectacular median flower beds, leads to a hilltop park offering fine mountain viewing. Denver Manager of Parks and Improvements George Cranmer, whose house ( DV145) borders the east edge of the park, maximized the panoramic views by declaring that trees could not be planted to grow above the sight line from an open flagstone terrace at the top of the hill. The terrace's stone disk sundial and inlaid terrazzo mountain finder provide modest decoration and useful information.
