This six-block piece of Denver's original parkway network includes the now-covered City Ditch (see DV204.1) in its median strip. It is formally planted and lined by a few notable buildings, including Steele Elementary School (1913, David Dryden; 1929, Merrill H. and Burnham F. Hoyt), 320 South Marion Street Parkway, whose exotic poly-chrome tilework gives it a Middle Eastern air.
