This primeval motel is a long, narrow, slabsided shed with covered stalls for autos alternating with four tiny court units. Georgia Estlick, who had a home nearby, ran the pioneer auto camp. Her father, contractor Preston H. Smith, whose clapboard carpenter shop survives at 401 Ellsworth (northwest corner of Lake Avenue), may have been the builder.
