Gunnison Hardware
1887. 102 S. Main St. (southeast corner of Tomichi Ave. [U.S. 501]) (NR)

A two-story Italianate commercial edifice of rough sandstone block has a large, bracketed cornice punctuated with a pair of Gothic-arched pediments on the west facade. Paler sandstone is used for the surrounds of arched windows and quoins with dressed edges. Unsympathetic remodeling of the storefronts was reversed in the hardware store's 1993 conversion to the town arts center.
