Located behind the county courthouse, this was the home of State Representative Vic Hansen, who donated the hewn log house to the city and moved it here in 1961. Hansen and many other Swedes, including the builders of this low-slung cabin, settled early in North Park. Swedes had developed the cabin of horizontal logs with notched corners by the end of the Bronze Age and later introduced it to the United States, where it competed with English frame and clapboard.
