This peeled log octagon is wrapped around a massive central circular stone fireplace. The dovetailed, notched, horizontal logs support a hogan-like conical log roof. Interior walls are the same massive logs. Light fixtures are made of gnarled tree branches hung from alternate ceiling bays between dormers. The wood flooring is laid diagonally to emphasize the octagonal shape. Despite many unfortunate additions, Jacques Benedict's original design for this clubhouse is still discernible and appealing.
