El Moro

-A A +A
1876–1933. 5 miles north of Trinidad on Colorado 239 (intersection of El Moro Rd. and Rd. 75.0)

The town of El Moro was created when the D&RG arrived in 1876. This once busy railroad town became one of the most notable communes of the 1960s, an artists' colony called Drop City, a community of geodesic dome homes largely deserted by 1970.
