A leading Grand Junction architect redesigned this boxy 1960s concrete building to give it a more sculptural image. Rolling grass berms lap against the walls of the sculpture garden, which has a narrow slit entry. A strip of neon tube at the base of the complex is lit to signify an event in this privately constructed and maintained center that itself is modern art.
