Philip Zang of Denver's Zang Brewing Company built and owned what was originally called Zang's Hotel. This one-story frame building became the annex of a later two-story frame building next door. The original second-story porch, complete with rocking chairs overlooking Main Street, provides a covering for the sidewalk. At the rear of the hotel, a stone and brick structure that was once a brothel now houses the proprietors. The high-ceilinged dining room has chandeliers and a ceiling heater. The annex houses a restaurant in what was the rowdy Creede Hotel Bar, where the decor was mostly mineral specimens. This is the oldest hotel in town, with four quaint rental rooms still available upstairs.
