Square corner towers flank a metal dome on this yellow brick Neo-Romanesque church. Patrik Davis, a Montrose architect, recombined these elements in an innovative educational and social wing to the east, which uses a yellow brick closely matching the original. A rough cinderblock base complements the original sandstone foundation. The polygonal bay reappears as a stuccoed bridge between the buildings, with various cross motifs incorporated into glass block fenestration. The tower is recreated around the new entrance and finished in rose stucco, using the distinctive stepped parapet profile. A round “rose” window, set in a diamond shape and trimmed in contrasting brick, incorporates a Celtic cross using three types of glass block.
