Just outside the San Juan Avenue Historic District in another block of large, dignified old homes is this two-story brick Queen Anne Style house. It is overlaid with Neoclassical trim and fronted by an overscaled, two-story porch with columns and pediment. The block contains another Queen Anne house augmented with Neoclassical elements, the Rourke House (1898), 619 Carson Avenue (northeast corner of 7th Street) (NR). It has a round corner tower and a second-story porch that becomes an attic balcony. Both residences were constructed by Blankenship Brothers. The Hart House (1898, George Burnett), 802 Ratón Avenue (NR), is a purer example of the Queen Anne Style.
