Hugus and Company Block
1891. 1911, expansion and remodeling, William E. and Arthur A. Fisher. 574–594 Main St. (southeast corner of 6th St.)

This beige brick two-story commercial block with foundation and trim of local sandstone was built as part of a northwestern Colorado department store chain. It remains a department store with a wooden floor, 20-foothigh pressed metal ceiling, and golden oak display cabinets. Transomed storefronts and large, paired second-floor windows flood the store with daylight.
