Built by Dole Pineapple as the plantation manager's residence, it became a community hall after a new plantation manager's house designed by Hart Wood was built in the mid-1930s. This rambling bungalow with a large, enclosed front porch, shingled walls, battered columns, and figure-four brackets, sits on a lava-rock foundation. The interior has open-beam ceilings and a fireplace.
