The metal roof with Mission tiles and the white stucco walls of this building evoke something in the way of a 1920s period revival image—Mediterranean, one assumes in this instance. The roof that shelters the pump area is steeply pitched and has a round window in the center of its gable end. The pair of stout piers supporting the roof project on through the tile surface, creating the feeling that the gable roof is hung onto the piers, rather than held up by them.
