High Bridge (Kate Shelley Bridge)
This impressive double-track bridge spans the Des Moines River not far from Boone. The thin-membered X-frame steel bridge is 2,685 feet long and it is 185 feet high at its highest point above the river, making it one of the longest and highest of its type in the world.
