The Dewey house is another Prairie-style house, similar in scheme to the house at 520 40th Street ( CE181). A thin slab roof covers the entrance, which is placed at the center of the building. A balanced composition of casement windows is created on each side of the entrance. A horizontal wood band connects all of the window sills on the second floor. The stucco walls are carried up and cover the soffits of the wide overhanging hipped roof.
