In this romantic period revival English Tudor cottage there are abrupt changes in scale, and the visitor is presented with a stately entrance contained within an arched stone frame. Fragments of stone emerge here and there from the chimney and the first-floor walls; there is half-timbering above, with clapboards in the gable end.
