A substantial example of the post-Civil War Italianate, this house is very late in fashion. The wide gable end facing the street boasts a round window within the gable. The cornice has the usual paired brackets and end returns on all of the gables. The round-headed windows have been filled in at the top, and sometime after 1900 a heavy classical porch was added across the first-floor face of the house.
