A good-sized dwelling with Eastlake ornamentation, this house tries as much as possible to pose as a cottage. The main roof sways down and joins a low shed-roofed porch. The first floor is of brick; above, over a dozen horizontal bands of different shingle patterns decorate the surfaces. The gable and bargeboards are typically Eastlake, their lower edges sawed in a gentle wavelike pattern, and groups of round holes occur here and there.
