  • Stripe House (Rose Villa) (David Gebhard and Gerald Mansheim)

This two-story brick-and-stone Gothic Revival “cottage”—a building reminiscent of the work of A. J. Downing—has a symmetrical facade. The central gable, with its lush bargeboards, contains a large-scale pointed window seemingly taken directly from a church. Now missing is the original first floor front porch with its Gothic-style center balustrade.
