Long House

The Long house is a two-story brick Italianate residence with a one-and-a-half-story ell to the side. The house has two formal entries, one at the center of the facade facing the public road, the other (the one most often used) fronting onto the driveway leading into the farm. Missing from the house today is the entry porch that faced the public road, and the cupola which, with its steeply pitched gables, was Eastlake in design. All in all, this is a late example of the Italianate style.
