The Creston station was one of the larger railroad stations built in Iowa. Its steeply pitched hipped roof and large gabled dormers suggest the French Châteauesque tradition which was so popular late in the nineteenth century. This brick-and-stone-trimmed two-and-a-half-story building has now been restored and has presently assumed a new life as the Creston City Hall.
