The Gothic Revival DeYoe house employs a steeply pitched roof, third-story triple lancet windows with window hoods, label moldings, and diamond-paned oriel and bay windows that evoke the medieval romanticism so popular in mid-nineteenth-century America. The paired, carved decorative brackets along the gables, a feature commonly found in the Italianate style, add to the picturesque qualities of this house.
