Bowen and Herbert halls occupy sites southeast of Harned Hall (CH17.5), and the Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building stands behind Montgomery Hall (CH17.1). All three date to 1929 and share a common architectural expression fusing medieval and Renaissance features. Their brick walls are set off by limestone dressings and punctuated with round arches, blind arcades, and prominent frontispieces, and all three display lively brickwork, including all-header, herring-bone, and basketweave panels. The Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building originally had a T-plan, which was made into an H with the addition of its eastern wing in 1938 by the local firm of Stevens and Johnston. Belinda Stewart Architects rehabilitated the building in 2010.
