This Greek Revival house and the nearby James-White House (1858) at 730 E. Main Street demonstrate the flexibility of the classical language of architecture. The one-story Moses Jordan House has a projecting portico of four square paneled columns and pilasters with reeded capitals and a rooftop observation deck with balustrade. The two-story, Greek Revival James-White house has been moved back on its site but retains its original full-width, two-story portico of square paneled columns, wrought-iron balcony, and Italianate molded-panel entrance doors.
