This former flour mill now processes grain and feed. The frame portion was built by Charles Gumphert in 1900, and two decades later, Gumphert and his partner Reed added to it. They built the yellow brick wing with stepped gable ends, as well as a small elegant office building with quoins, keystones, oversized brackets, and a fanlight above the door. Several years later, Reed built a similar mill in Brookville, Jefferson County. In 1970, the mill bought the former C. E. Andrews lumber company building, constructed of hollow tile, across the street to the south.
