
A cluster of mills can be found near Andersonburg. The three-story frame Bistline Mill, one mile southwest of Cisna Road on PA 274 in Madison Township, was built by Colonel John Maxwell Turbine about 1824. Nearby on Madison Road is the 106-foot-long Bistline Covered Bridge (1871), which crosses Sherman's Creek. Briner's Mill at Mount Pleasant off PA 274 between Blain and New Germantown was built in 1840 by John W. Briner. The wood frame building was used as a sawmill and carpenter's shop.
