One-half mile south of Blain is the oldest mill still operating in Perry County. Constructed by James Blaine in 1778, the four-story frame and stone building is now owned and operated by the Smiths as a feed and grain mill. Nearby stands Enslow's Covered Bridge across Sherman's Creek. Built in 1904, it is 116 feet long with vertical board siding and a deck of crosswise planking.
