This row of three shingled duplexes with a double-gabled front elevation subsumed within a spreading hipped roof and set well back from the street up the slope were probably overseers' houses for the Social Mill down the hill. In setting, design, and spaciousness there may be no more livable mill housing in the state, especially in an urban situation.
