The mid-twentieth-century domestic highlights of Edna are three houses in the Sun Set–South Progress neighborhood, where the town's somewhat loose grid begins to become even more episodic. Faced with planes of gray brick, this one-story house juxtaposes an open carport and entrance loggia with a street-facing wing sliced through by a high-set band of windows. What appears at first to be a flat roof rises in a low, single pitch to admit daylight through glazed gables at either end.
Visible from the front of 405 Sun Set Drive is the back of a 1950s contemporary house at 904 S. Progress Street. A few doors farther south, at number 912, is a T-plan modern house that opens to a south-facing side garden.
