Though modified, the elongated, brick veneered, one-story bank building is a good example of this firm's commercial buildings of the 1950s. In the mid-1950s, Caudill Rowlett Scott (CRS) also designed the Brazos Valley Hospital at Pine and Barton streets and the Church of Christ, at 1202 Live Oak Street, before relocating in 1957 from Bryan to Houston and establishing a national reputation in the innovative design of schools.
